Scale Ireland was delighted to host its third annual Regional Start-up Summit in Limerick on Thursday, the 22nd of February, to promote start-ups and scaling companies around the country. The event was launched by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade, and Employment, Simon Coveney. The Minister of State, Dara Calleary, also gave a keynote address at the event, which was supported by Google, Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF), Enterprise Ireland, and Atlantic Bridge.

It featured start-up and scaling companies including Kneat, Provizio, SwiftComply, HookeBio, YellowSchedule, and ten.dev. The event was hosted in the Analog Building at the University of Limerick, and Scale Ireland collaborated on the Summit with Dr. Briga Hynes and Professor Stephen Kinsella, University of Limerick, as well as the RDI Hub.

The event comprised three high-level panel discussions:

  1. Supporting regional start-ups and entrepreneurship (12.00 noon - 1.10 pm)
  2. Promoting impactful, diverse, and sustainable start-ups nationwide (1.15 pm - 2.15 pm)
  3. Supporting student entrepreneurship and spinouts at third level (2.20 pm - 3.10 pm)
