Scale Ireland hosts special webinars, conferences and 'Ask Me Anything' (AMAs) sessions to support and promote indigenous tech start-up and scale-up companies. Scale Ireland also collaborates with our partners in the ecosystem including Dogpatch Labs, the NDRC and the Irish Tech Hub Network to host events.
Scale Ireland is hosting a special webinar to help explain the impact of the Digital Services Act on start-ups. We are delighted to be joined by: Robert Troy, Minister of State, Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment. Claire Morrisey, Head of Maples and Calder's Data, Commercial & Technology Team.
The European Commission published the Digital Services Act in December 2020. The DSA will regulate the obligations of digital services that act as intermediaries in their role of connecting consumers with goods, services, and content. It will modernise the liability regime for intermediate service providers (“ISP”), increase transparency obligations and regulatory oversight over online platforms, and provide for substantial fines.
It applies to digital services which transmit or store the content of third parties. To learn more about the impact of the Digital Services Act on Irish start-ups, please join our special information webinar with Minister Troy and Claire Morrissey. All are welcome. Places are limited.
